This is your first stop when visiting the town. You will find us in the centre of the town of Vrchlabi, the gateway to the Krkonose Mts., in the former townhall on T.G. Masaryk Square. Information about the entire Krkonose is available in once place.

Krkonoše Mountains – History and Traditions Come Alive / Karkonosze – Historia i tradycje ożywają CZ.11.02.01/00/23_004/0000048
Non-investment subsidy from the Interreg Czech Republic - Poland 2021 - 2027 program in the amount of EUR 59,929.96. The main objective of the project is to make cultural monuments accessible (the historic town hall building No. 210 in Vrchlabí, the historic granary building at the castle in the village of Sobieszów) and developing tourist infrastructure (creation of an information center, modernization and expansion of the exhibition in four historic houses in Vrchlabí, including the addition of a garden area, creation of a new exhibition in the village of Sobieszów, and construction of a bread oven). The sites will be newly promoted and included in the SmartGuide platform. Another objective of the project is to preserve intangible cultural heritage through the implementation of soft activities.

Project: Support for the regional information center in the heart of the Krkonoše Mountains
Non-investment subsidy from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic under call NPŽP 16/2024 in the amount of CZK 203,915. The project involves equipping the Krkonoše Regional Tourist Center in Vrchlabí and creating and printing informational materials. As part of the project, IT equipment will be purchased for IC staff and visitors. In addition, 12 types of informational materials will be created, including leaflets and posters for Czech and foreign visitors.

A donation from the Škoda Auto Foundation from the Tady jsem doma (This is my home) grant program in the amount of CZK 41,500. The project involves the creation and placement of Stolpersteine (stumbling stones), the creation of a new information sign for the former Jewish cemetery, and the organization of a lecture and discussion on the topic.
The project: Vrchlabí presents itself
Non-investment subsidy from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic within the call NPŽP 9/2022 in the amount of CZK 211,990. The subject of the project is the creation of promotional material and retrofitting of the information centre. The project will create a representative publication that will summarize and offer the best that visitors can experience in Vrchlabí and its surroundings. Furthermore, the children's corner of the information centre will be equipped.
The project: We are not lost in the city
Investment subsidy from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic under the call NPŽP 9/2022 in the amount of CZK 246,627.50. The subject of the project is the acquisition and installation of information panels on the territory of Vrchlabí with a map of the town and recommendations for visiting the most interesting attractions of the town. 4 information panels will be installed.
